Hello hi, tech. fans,
Hope your Q2 is off to a glorious start. We’re in the full bloom of spring here in London, where I’m continuing the quest to disrupt education like a high-school bully.
Except in our case, we’re bringing some much-needed practical application to how colleges and businesses teach digital marketing. Yep, Novela continues apace and we’re running a series of free webinars with thought leaders to discuss the Big Topics.
On Thursday 18th April, I’ll be joined by the always illuminating Tom Goodwin, author of “Digital Darwinism”. We’ll discuss how digital marketing can rediscover its creative spark in the age of AI.

In digital marketing:
We have access to deeply sophisticated technology.
Campaigns are typically run from within large agency groups that possess some of the finest creative talent around.
Brands spend billions of dollars annually to get their messages out there to an online audience.
And yet, all too often we end up with this:
Instead of this:
The obsessive focus on “data” and “targeting” have led us away from the true human insights that inspire all the best advertising campaigns.
As the tracking and targeting landscape shifts, reducing our access to that all-important data, we have a welcome opportunity to rethink our first principles.
However, we also have AI.
AI reduces the cost of content production to almost zero, so should we expect quality to increase in tandem with quantity? It so rarely does.
If I had all the answers, I wouldn’t need Tom Goodwin to explain it all. But I don’t, so I do.
Tom’s a brilliant, challenging thinker and he will bring some necessary, new perspective to all of these questions.
Come join! And if you can’t make the live session, sign up anyway and we’ll send you the recording.
See you there!
We’ll have another session on Tuesday 23rd April too - more info to follow soon!
